En-suite refurb

Finally moved the boiler so I could knock half of the boiler room into our en-suite to enlarge it. Finally have a large walk in shower and double sink ive always wanted. Digital shower controls with app controls. Underfloor heating. Really pleased with it.

Next job is the bathroom refurb and have already started.

Hi Isobel, Could you add an obscured film to the window instead? I would have thought that this would be fine with planning as it's removable. I'm assuming that the planning restriction is because you're in a conservation area? The films come in different finishes, I've had a fairly successful go at applying a sandblasted one. There are specialist companies that will do it for you though

New en suite and dressing room/relaxing area

We have a large bedroom; we walk into another room 350 cm x 550 cm to gain access to this bedroom (incl. ensuite 350 x 100cm stud wall). We would like to change the aforementioned room and ensuite into a spacious en suite and a dressing room/relaxation area making this entirely our 'boudoir', as it will be all contained in one area of the house. Hi there I’m hoping for a bit of advice on the en suite layout. I have been flip flopping with this and not sure what will work best. Shower is 900 x 1200 and bath is 1700 - not sure if I’ll go with double or single vanity- there’s a skylight over this area which is about a metre. I don’t want bathroom to feel cramped but conscious there doesn’t seem to be much room for storage. Pic of drawing attached - other idea was to put shower along the other (2200 wall) and turn the toilet to the side. Spotted a picture of this idea and liked the look of it but I’ve no idea if my space is too tight! Any suggestions very much appreciated! Thank you

Mira mode digital mixer. One button for overhead and one for handheld with a remote on/off button on the right hand side wall. I have never owned a digital mixer before. It is brilliant, you set the temp with the dial on the main control and it gets to that temp quickly and holds it there.

I also like that it the mixer has issues it’s in the loft and accessible, rather than the hassle of getting to a hidden mixer valve. I’m going to use the same for my other bathrooms and ensuites as I do them.

I have recently changed my boiler from a combi to a Worcester Bosch 8000 series system boiler with unvented hot water cylinder and accumulator tank. Massive improvement in reliability and pressure and hot water supply.
