Baby boys bedroom

Hi everyone, wondering if anyone can give me a few ideas on the following bedroom which I started to do up for my little boy.
the walls are a very light cream and I painted the blue stripes on the wall. I'm at a standstill on what colour/design of bedding and curtains to get? any help would be really appreciated.

Hello!

Firstly, what a gorgeous room and so exciting to be doing it up for your baby boy!

I think a lovely set of sheer, floaty viscose type curtains would look fab. They would really soften the room and you could put a blackout roller blind into the recess for naps/bedtime. Hang them floor to ceiling to make the room feel bigger and the ceiling higher too :)

Bedding wise, white is always so clean and calm looking, you can't really go wrong. But if you wanted some colour - I would look at white and navy or white and a pale blue to match your wall stripes.

Dunelm and John Lewis have some adorable little boy bedding, but my favourite has to be the dinosaur bedding from The Range, so cute! Perhaps simple pale blue, cream, or white curtains would do, but I agree with Dani that a black out blind would be a good idea.

If painting, use low VOC paint. When replacing things, look for low, or non outgassing furnishings. No sharp corners on tables etc. Choose safety features on blinds to eliminate strangling on cords. Non breakable ornaments/bowls down low. Breakables and hot coffees up high. A chest for toys, but sand down sharp corners. A small chair. Any tall furniture should be affixed to wall with brackets. Don't be in a tearing hurry to remove all kitchen walls that can have a baby gate attached to them. Burns by scalding in kitchens kill and maim.

Okay..... I've been having fun! I've attached the links below for some ideas but my best advice is go onto www.notonthehighstreet and look at their cushions and bedding etc. A theme would be good. Is there something they both like such as animals or circus or are you looking for something for them to grow with? What colours do they like? Is your boy extremely boyish (no pink mum!), is your girl fussy or strongminded? (my 2 year old is!)If you can find one thing that you really like and they both do too then it gives us a starting point. I'm thinking along the lines of plain bedding, a matching cushion on each bed in bright multicolours or an animal and then another cushion and throws to blend with the feature cushion. Artwork could be their names in letters (hobbycraft do brown ones that you can paint) or maybe even wall decals. Super cute room. Love the bedding that Sonia found. I found this from Next, which I thought is really lovely too.

And I'd go for either a blackout roller blind or Roman blinds for the window. This one is also from Next:
