Paint and decor help!
Long time browser but first time posting! Would love some opinions. We've not long moved and this is our playroom. we painted the blue wall over Xmas and ever since then I've been feeling rather underwhelmed by it ...I just feel like something isn't quite right and needs finishing off. What do people think? does the whole room need to be painted the same colour, rather than just a feature wall? Or is the colour wrong, should we repaint the whole room in a light grey, picking out the colour from the rug? thr furniture is white , and the rug incorporates blue, grey and a hint of yellow. I love the rug so definitely want to use that. We don't have any blinds or curtains yet as I want to try and get the paint right first! ideas welcome. Please excuse the mess in the photos :)

3 years agoI quite like it, another piece of complementary art would lift it a bit more and move the plant to the left hand corner. Do you have photos of other angles?
However given it‘s a play room just wondering if something brighter or more fun would appeal to your child/ren? it’s sometimes hard getting them to play in a play room anyway!
im not suggesting this one but wondering if a pouffe might be good in the reading corner too?

Comments (2)I think the only place you could put a tv is probably the corner by the window...over the fireplace is probably too high. a walnut floor and new fresher paint colour would be lovely, would you consider painting the skirting boards and fireplace white or off white to modernise them a bit? we've painted the skirting in our living room (also a walnut floor) and it looks so much better than before. Comments (1)Cornforth white is one of my go-to colours, matched with a Grey carpet will look stylish and chic. Pairing these with Blush tones and a muted metallic Chrome / Gold or Copper would look perfect. Gold and Brush Steel tend to stand the test of time so either would be a great addition. A bespoke Headboard would make this space elegant and mature. Heavy tracked ceiling to floor length curtains would provide a high-quality finish. 3 years agoIt is brighter than a navy, but it looks really nice with the white furniture. I would paint the adjacent white wall blue too and then add a colourful bit of art incorporating lots of bright colours. Rug is lovely. I bet they would love a beanbag like Minnie has suggested!
