Need help! Paint colour and ideas for large kitchen wall.
Comments (10)Hi Maria. It's a lovely kitchen and I must admit I like the white so would probably change the accessories. I would add a huge sunburst clock or mirror above the cabinets (can't work out if it's a clock or mirror above the fire). Add a statement light over the table. Try a coloured splashback behind the cabinets. Add some coloured stools. I would say paint the kitchen chairs but I can see they are good quality! If you do want to paint then either blues, violets or even a very soft grey if you add some coloured accesories. Do make sure the colour blends with the lounge though as you can obviously see through....See Morespace organization ..... i need some idea
Comments (7)I agree with maikola, turn under the stairs into storage. Maybe combine with a little desk for when the kids are older. I'd swap your dining and living area around. Have the tv on the long left wall with a small sofa a couple of feet in front of the doors and one opposite the tv. It does look as if a 5ft table would fit in the kitchen though? If you don't want to fill too much of the kitchen space consider a bench one side for you to use with chairs for the kids on the other. The area outside the kitchen could then be for the kids to play...See MoreUp side down houses, any good plan ideas?

Any ideas?...See MoreKitchen/Living/Dining Room Renovation - Ideas Needed!
Comments (1)Hi, what a lovely "canvas" to begin! My late husband loved wood. I think it is too drab and have changed mine for glass and various off whites as the rooms are non-square here and the house is old but takes modern too. My gut feeling is that the way forward is to choose an exciting "theme" for downstairs first. Would you consider bright and airy sky, or tropical, or geometric, or bookish, or carnival, or countryside, what about a space rocket on the wall for the kids - it can be covered when they grow tired of it? And as it is it has my pet hate - a good window - wasted - with a grim reminder of housework - a sink in front of it instead of one out of sight with a strip light over it!!!!...See MoreR Mederick
