cleaning porcelain patio
Our 1 month old porcelain patio has a strange yellow staining that started on the bottom middle step and is spreading. The jet wash can’t get rid of it, but scraping with a glass scraper gets a little success.
Does anyone know what the staining could be and of a chemical we should try that won’t ruin the porcelain?

Comments (1)I would ordinarily recommend that you don't mix cream/ivory with white as they can often clash, but you have pulled it off with the worktops! bringing in more white in the form of the glossy table will only enhance the look you have already created. the only other option would be a glass table with white chairs or stick with the accent colour of subtle grey for the chairs....See MoreNeed help deciding what to use to floor my hallway!!
Comments (8)Maybe if you stuck to one colour scheme such as white and purple or grey and lime green, colours that compliment each other. You could have a cabinet on the larger side with some family photos or a mirror above it and maybe a single colour on the top half of the wall and a complimentary wallpaper on the bottom half. You could go for wood on the floor or a simple soft carpet but it might get muddy. You could also have a bench with storage underneath for shoes and bags, but try get a colour that matched the walls. Comments (2)I like the wood effect tile. If properly placed it might give the impression of an actual wood floor. Well apart from colour i guess one would have to conisder how easy they are to clean with stains and all. But more importantly how slippery they are when dry, when wet or when there is a little bit of oil on it....See More

3 years agoOh dear I feel your pain. I had outdoor porcelain laid last year. I chose it for its excellent non slip qualities, and I think that’s where the problem lies. To create a grip means it will have a texture to it which then means dirt gets trapped in it. As you say, no amount of scrubbing helps. In the spring I will look into a porcelain cleaner which I understand has to be neutral? However I will trying Milly Moos suggestion as I have some bar keepers friend lurking in the cupboard! This is mine at the moment 😢
