Comments (6)thank you all for your comments. @Julie I forgot to mention that the children's art wall will be a mirror soon now that there won't be little hand prints all over it. This may bounce some light around. I was thinking of a warm sagey green which would work well with the oak wood but I need some drama!! It's funny looking at the pictures totally gives you a different perspective of the room. I now think I need to paint the front door in a pale color... @Judy I like the shade secluded beach def dont want blue - the tester pots were nothing like the shade on the charts... @Christine def agree re pops of color - baby's feet are going into another room. @ pcmom yellow would definitely brighten it up...See MoreHow to make my kids playroom more stylish?
Comments (17)Simplify is always a good strategy with play rooms. The temptation to cover the walls with artwork and posters can add to the visual clutter. I would suggest a larger area rug to ground the space and create a soft place for playing on the floor. A medium colour with a fleck from other hues in the curtains and upholstery will help hide dirt and lint. I think you could definitely cozy it up with a warm wall colour to unify the space. Lastly, closed storage for the toys goes a long way to creating order from the chaos. You will have a lovely space the children enjoy and you find restful....See MoreWin an iPad - Vote for your favourite Irish photo!
Comments (145)I love the cabin in the woods, its a intimate setting where you are drawn to the outside whilst keeping snug indoors. The use of fabrics sets it apart from the usual cold designs of other modern rooms. The attention detail in the selection of furniture pieces keeps it modern yet functional....See MoreHELP NEEDED! 44msq STUDIO to refurbish
Comments (20)I think the sofa bed should double up as regular seating. The place is too small to have a guest bed around at all times. Use every item you have and if possible double functions (like stools as coffee tables and sofas as guest bed). Personal note: I used to have a 1p mattress with a cover on it next to my bed looking like a 'sideboard' (because my bed was sideways against the wall it wasn't a headboard). But 25m2 really was too small for any sofa to fit in. I just had one upholstered seat and guests would sit either on my bed or on a dining/folding chair. Another floorplan, with a sofa. I really like this one, because of the open living space. Some bottom-up blinds or a nice window foil halfway up should give some bedroom privacy, yet let in enough daylight (or a low cabinet/bookshelf, like in the second rendering). Add a bench in the 'bedroom' to enjoy a coffee in the morning sun. Bed sideways is not optimal, but it's give and take in a small home. Every open spot of floor adds to the sense of space....See MoreJanet Lee
