Hello I'm tyring to choose between a gas on glass 4 burner hob or a stainless steel gas hob? Ive seen some glass hobs with seperate 4 round pan supports are these practical?? I guess they'll be easy to clean.. Does anybody have a gas on glass hob with 4 burners that they absolutely love and would recommend? I would like the controls to be at the front and not at the side. Your help and advice will be very appreciated. Thank you in advance
I think a glass gas hob is easier to clean but as its completely flat if anything does boil over it will just run every where. The stainless steel has raised sections to help reduce this but stainless can change colour over time with heat and it can scratch (easier than the glass). Personally I prefer the look of the glass. There's also gas and induction hobs also available but most are bigger than 4 ring hobs, AEG, Smeg, Baumatic, Whirlpool have them, best of both worlds.
