Affordable built in wardobe solution?
Comments (1)Hi there, Yes, I am sure that a good joiner/carpenter would be able to. I would invite a couple of joiners round and ask for their advice. They may have an even better idea of how to achieve what you are looking for... Don`t be afraid to take some photos and ask if you can email them, so that they can have a look before even coming in. An experienced joiner should be able to give you a guesstimate on cost at that stage, so that you are not wasting each others time. When a client asks for bespoke units and furniture in our Garden rooms, I also like to ask them if they could draw me a quick sketch, no matter how crude, so that a have an idea of what they would like it to look like, in the end. Pop some pics up here too! As there are lots of pros with different backgrounds and experiences, who would be able to suggest some solutions.. Comments (4)A few things I would change from experience...instead of a single and double door I would spend the extra money and put in a bifold corner section...would open up the space so much more. as for the kitchen...completely flip your design...put your breakfast bar closer to the window...make it large and multipurpose with the hob in it and then put your main band of cabinets either left, right or behind? We have recently restructured our existing cabinets to this layout and put in new countertops and it works far better than before!...See MoreHELP NEEDED! 44msq STUDIO to refurbish
Comments (20)I think the sofa bed should double up as regular seating. The place is too small to have a guest bed around at all times. Use every item you have and if possible double functions (like stools as coffee tables and sofas as guest bed). Personal note: I used to have a 1p mattress with a cover on it next to my bed looking like a 'sideboard' (because my bed was sideways against the wall it wasn't a headboard). But 25m2 really was too small for any sofa to fit in. I just had one upholstered seat and guests would sit either on my bed or on a dining/folding chair. Another floorplan, with a sofa. I really like this one, because of the open living space. Some bottom-up blinds or a nice window foil halfway up should give some bedroom privacy, yet let in enough daylight (or a low cabinet/bookshelf, like in the second rendering). Add a bench in the 'bedroom' to enjoy a coffee in the morning sun. Bed sideways is not optimal, but it's give and take in a small home. Every open spot of floor adds to the sense of space....See MoreLoft Conversion
