Advice or help i live in a ex council end terrace dated 1930s and wondering how I can transform my attic into a storage space but there isn't any supporting wall underneath and obviously the joints in the attic wouldn't support weight. Can this be solved?? Many thanks...
If you mean what we call the loft then yes it can be used for storage. We have ours boarded out resting on the joists. What makes you think the joists won’t support the weight?
Evening Daisy and the reason I'm asking is because the joist are only 2 by 5 inch thick crossing the full span of the house which would be 8m so nothing is supporting the joist up like a supporting wall plus there a sign saying not suitable for weight or what ever it says......;)
