we are having a small extension done and a new kitchen fitted. When removing the old kitchen we discovered an unused spaced hidden behind a plasterboard.. we have since been told this was originally a pantry. The space is a bout 50 cm wide and 76 cm deep and goes from the ceiling to the floor. We are really struggling to figure out how to best use this space as its on a wall where we would ideally like worktop to run across. Does anyone have any nifty ideas.. ideally using this space for storage?
To me it's a toss between storage and work surface. My inclination would be to use it to shelve out, but it's not wide enough to step into and have shelves. If you lose a press to allow for this are really only gaining the top shelves. You would also have to move your sink. Btw I would swop out your DW and WM anyhow as having the dw beside the sink for rinsing is a must!
