We would like to move the staircase in our tiny Victorian terrace to allow our bathroom to be accessed without going through the back bedroom of our and to add a staircase to our attic room so it can be finished into a small study or bedroom.I would love to would like to know how feasible it would be to move a staircase 90° so it ran across the side of the building (so the stairs are ahead to the right of you when you walk into the house) and the ground floor is more open plan. But I've no idea how much a renovation like this would cost and does it require planning permission? Advice and ideas very welcome.
