This started a couple of years back. We didn’t notice it at first and it’s never got any worse. There is no smell of damp, there doesn’t seem to be any leaks anywhere, the floor and the skirting is all ok too. We thought it might be something to do with the pointing - any idea? I hope it isn't rising damp.
So there was a layer of plaster which had blown and we removed yesterday. We discovered the wall with what looks like a square of damp. It’s localised. The rest of the wall seems sound. Sorry should have been more explicit. Thoughts?
