hall floor colour
We've almost finished decorating the hall and can't decide on a floor colour. the walls are first green. The stairs will have a painted dark grey runner ( currently only done on one side). We're going for sheet vinyl because it's all we can afford right now.Butcwgat colour and style. Black and white chequered? Fake warm wood parquet ? Something else?

Comments (6)thank you all for your comments. @Julie I forgot to mention that the children's art wall will be a mirror soon now that there won't be little hand prints all over it. This may bounce some light around. I was thinking of a warm sagey green which would work well with the oak wood but I need some drama!! It's funny looking at the pictures totally gives you a different perspective of the room. Comments (13)I love dark walls and I think your hall with the shiny floors and the right finish on the wall make it special. You already have the wrought iron, which definitely dictates a certain look. I hesitate to recommend a specific color from my monitor, but look at the BM colors in the 1037’s through the 1078’s and see if there is something there which looks good with the tile....See MoreWhat colour to paint my hall

4 months agoHi Sam, is your house Victorian? If so I think a patterned floor would look ace. I have sheet vinyl in my bathroom and it still looks like new 6 years on. Some ideas of a Victorian look. I couldn’t find anything the right shade of green so these are mostly black & white - very classic.
