Toilet/shower room in outbuilding

Hi - I am thinking of building a 20sqm outbuilding in my garden with a toilet or shower room. This will house an office (with all the wfh at the moment). From what I have read, it should fall under permitted development (given height is no more than 2.5m) but wasn’t sure about the toilet. Any idea? Would I need building regs approval?

You are likely to need PP if you are putting in a toilet.

Needs to be max 15sqm to not require planning permission. Having toilet is a definite for planning though regardless of size.

What I'm actually wondering though is about mixing the metals - so having the chandelier and lamps with the touch of silver - or would I be better to source antique brass lamps like I have in some other rooms in the house - I kind of wanted to feature quite a bit of glass, and generally the glass comes with chrome, but I'm not sure if it's too modern for the sideboard etc, and mores worried about the clash of metals, but something tells me it might be ok in this instance! I have chrome taps and rainfall shower head in new bathroom and kept with antique brass for the light fittings and door/press knobs. Also yes the room is small but that's not an issue - it is what it is and I'm fine with it!

i have a small downstairs shower room that was a boiler room side of house Then I had an extension and changed to gas from oil boiler. I FITTED A SHOWER UNIT IN AND A LITTLE HAND BASIN MINNIE! ALSO A MOTER TOILET . THE SHOWER HAS A CURTIN SO I WOULD LIKE A SLIDE AROUND GLASS /PLASTIC DOOR SLIDING. Have you any advice where in Ireland I could find one IDEAS ALSO. WIDTH DOOR 33 DEBTH32INS.

Utility room and downstairs shower room

In these plans I do not like the way guests will have to walk through the utility room to get to the downstairs toilet. At the same time I do want a big utility and mud room. Could anyone suggest an alternative arrangement? Thank you.

Help with dark, viewless kitchen and dining room

Hiya, I agree about the extra bits on the back. I would remove them including the dining room bay but retain the existing external kitchen wall and square it off with the dining room, knocking through to make a kitchen diner. I'll paste my drawing in below. - the dimensions made me think you could create a loo and even fit a shower in the kitchen space but looking again at the photos make me doubt the shower idea! - retaining the kitchen windows and back door would reduce costs - the new downstairs loo area could have a sliding door that remained open when not in use so that the light from that window reached further in - you could fit a roof light above the utility space to draw more light into the remaining kitchen area - it would be tempting to fit bi-fold doors to the new dining room opening but I would research 1930s patio doors in case you could find some more in keeping with the rest of the house - with the same goal in mind, could bricks be reused for the new section of wall required to square off the utility area and dining room? You'd need advice on the dining and kitchen doors area, e.g, a pillar might be required (which could be built into the kitchen design?) so I've just left them as is. I hope this is helpful.
