Hey guys. I have only found this thread as I am researching this same question. I have cream sliding sash Windows and we are trying to pick a suitable exterior paint colour. Has anyone got recommendations or pictures?

Hi Kate, you may not be allowed to plaster the dash as sometimes house fronts are protected. For colour try Indian yellow from Farrow and Ball. This strong colour is associated with your style of house and has the advantage or drawing the attention away from the dash and onto the lighter colours. ie. windows and doors. To save costs Farrow and Ball colours can be mixed into other branded outdoor paints.

We have a bungalow with red brick border on brown windows with light grey granite sills and a sage green front door. Black slate roof tiles with red ridge tiles. First time to paint the house and looking for guidance on the best colour to paint exterior walls?

We are updating the exterior of our home (which is a MCM california ranch). We will not be painting the cherokee red brick and the roof will be replaced with dark gray/black. Currently, we have white windows, but they all need to be replaced. Would dark windows look right? We like the idea of a medium gray color incorporated somewhere as an accent, but not sure what should go where. Our facia/soffit and garage doors will be replaced along with this reno. I've painted the old windows an iron ore to have a visual. I'd appreciate any insights. Thank you in advance! Current street view-- Here is the current white window trim/overhang-- With the iron ore window trim...will this look too trendy? Would it look weird to have black window with white brick molding around them? (Or vice versa)
