Architrave around windows.

Architrave around a window will frame my roman blinds but there is a radiator under one window. Does it work to have a white radiator on grey wall under a white architrave and blinds??? My inspiration is this Houzz photo. Help please. It is much appreciated. Barbara.

Definitely art deco. This is a hard one. From houzz pictures, it looks as though you could extend the Juliet floor out and then add a roof but a builder would have to figure that one out. You could have another roof line on the side and have your porch there and access it from inside, which might turn out even better as you would have a great summer entertaining spot. Have you put in Art Deco in exterior photos? Great ideas.

Hi. I've seen you're doing the living room in elephants breath. Why not continue this on the "kitchen"ŵall for some contrast with the cabinets and to keep the arch the same colour and then do the rest in skimming stone to keep it light. I don't think you need to go mad on accessories, you already have green in both rooms. Why not move the purple dish onto the island and add a ceramic vase and potted herb etc. for the table add a vase of good quality faux flowers in soft white with some really deep purple and some green foliage.

Painting window trim but which is better, to go lighter or darker?

It's a grey/blue sea fog exterior colour but is there a rule of thumb to painting the trim around windows? I know to go a lighter or darker shade but as it's cut into the hillside I don't want it sticking out in an obvious way. Which is better to give the impression of larger windows? Also painting a porch style pitched roof above front door can that be another but complimenting colour to door and walls?

Hey there, we have a bathroom window that is completely see-through and for planning reasons we are precluded from changing. I’m looking for recommendations for window film or similar for privacy - the stained glass around the outside of the window is really pretty and original to the house so it would be a shame to use a blind and hide it! thanks all!
