Building a Home Renovating Design Dilemma

Hi all

Looking at a 3 bed semi and curious if you feel planning would accept us bringing our porch and garage forward in line with the house to the right? This would enable us to make the box room a lot bigger (hopefully master) upstairs. It would then allow us to convert the back of the existing garage into a utility.

We don’t want to buy a house then realise we’ve made a mistake. Lots to extend downstairs but really need to make at least 1 room bigger

Could be tricky given that the garage adjoins the house on the right. Certainly wouldn't look like a semi, but terraced.

Just a quick suggestion, if the plumbing works place the WC under the staircase. And place the door so it does not open towards the living or kitchen areas. Please also post some photos of the house as it looks from the outside.

Hi David, If you could provide photos of the property that would be very helpful. Also, as jonathandb1972 said, any plans would be greatly appreciated here, so there is something to work with. If no plans available, even a crude drawing will be useful to help visualise the layout. What style would you like to achieve? (contemporary, country etc.). You said you'd like the extension to incorporate your current kitchen. What else would you like to have there, as it is going to be 2 storeys extension? Bedroom with en-suite? If you provide more information I can create couple of ideabooks for you to start with.
