Decorating Children's Bedroom
Hi Guys,
We're about to redecorate a bedroom to turn it into a shared one for our girls and I'm looking for ideas to pull it all together. Currently the space looks something like this:
We're changing the carpet to the grey one below, putting in a white wooden bunk bed and a floor to ceiling wardrobe on the opposite wall.
We're replacing the wallpaper with this geometric one and it will also be on a 1/3 of the opposite wall that is not hidden by the wardrobe. We're thinking of having white blinds or shutters ion the windows, but I'd also like to add roman blinds, preferably something a bit playful but I' not sure what to get that would not clash with the wallpaper? Also the other walls, we're having difficulty deciding if we should paint them, grey or pink? Personally if it had to be pink, I'd prefer a 'barely there' pink or a dusky pink rather than the same shade as above but I'm thinking that might not work with the wallpaper?
What are your thoughts?
Forgot to mention - the wardrobe will be white stained oak frame with matt grey doors from Ikea.

Comments (36)I would also definitely go white if the windows are on the green wall. Will be much more natural to tie the accent wall with the stark wht contrasting walls. Always a very chic contemporary look. Also very relaxing as opposed to the treatments standing out when you already have your standout feature- the green accent wall. Great white bed you ordered! Then I love all the blue/green/ silver accent advice. I did a similar room in purples/greys/ whites and we used great posted prints of florals with a little oriental flair in nice big mats w frames. You could do florals or nice big botanicals in greens would be very fresh and modern!! Comments (3)Hi. Is this the Rockefeller image? If so, It's quite grey so I'd go for either chalky white or a pale grey for walls. Maybe a mid grey for curtains, if the light is good, have a look at Next for ideas. Mix white, grey and charcoal for the bed. Comments (1)Cornforth white is one of my go-to colours, matched with a Grey carpet will look stylish and chic. Pairing these with Blush tones and a muted metallic Chrome / Gold or Copper would look perfect. Gold and Brush Steel tend to stand the test of time so either would be a great addition.
