Advice on where to start the side and rear return

Hi all,

I’m wondering whether to start the side extension at the current second bedroom or the bathroom? I think I’d keep the alley to the garden but that’s also something I’m thinking about.

The idea would be to potentially turn the current kitchen into a second bedroom. If the side return was started there then there might be scope for this room to be bigger and to increase the size of the bathroom.

I guess my decision will depend on the added cost/time.

Just wondering if anyone has had this layout to work with and if you have any advice!
