Paint Design Dilemma Hallways

Can you help with colour scheme for hallway and landing

My front room is cornflower white (grey/blue). My bedroom is powdered grey. I’m looking for maybe a bold contrast to the white/grey/blush that would make a glamorous entrance to the house.

The entrance to your house provides the opportunity to be bold with colour. This space sets the expectations for the rest of the home on entry.

You could consider whether you would like a fresh bright feel created by cool light tones or a comforting warm hug utilising warm tones and warm light. This could link with other rooms to become part of the whole property and larger space or contrast the other rooms to create a moment of build up before entering the other spaces.

Glamour can mean different things to different people - quality materials, lighting atmosphere, a statement wow factor or reserved sophistication.

i was going to say tapestry or a glass mirrored effect, as well haha. or just a large painting that you will love to look at. your chandelier is very nice, but i've seen many with that kind of entrance, that they have those really long, pendent lighting, for a dramatic effect. but i'm thinking, you don't want to change that. or a giant clock. or one of those wall stickers. or animal heads haha. few ie attached

I love colors and most of your plan sounds fun and great but...that paint color looks very purplish and i would say maybe go lighter, more grey tone. Be cautious.

Hi Louise, In a room like this I always like to keep the walls and ceilings ( including the small door and frame 1 colour...in this case a lavender. I'd start by finding colour chips that have the same colour as the carpet, and then go a few shades lighter but in the same tome. All baseboards and door to hall should be the same colour as the iron beds...off white. With the walls a colour you'll be able to see the pretty pattern of the frame. OR find a small scaled pattern of any of the shades of purple and the cream same as the bed frame) with the same fabric. Make custom bedding to match. In a small room 1 pattern works well everywhere. If you go the paint route, try to find fabric with soft gold, lavender, purple for a skirted table between the beds if there's room. You can put it on a cardboard table and base...found in some fabric or craft stores. Choose something that goes with the bedroom carpets. Personally I like I similar colour throughout the house for continuity. I would choose a neutral- perhaps a warm grey
