I need a new rug for my sitting room
Comments (21)Love your carpet choices here! I noticed that there no artwork on the walls yet. This will elevate the mood of the room since you will need an upper emphasis once your room is anchored with the carpet. It is easier to decorate around a rug, the one you love for sure, than around a focal piece, such as art. After you choose from any of the beautiful carpets above that work with your interior, take a photo of the room with the carpet installed in it. Have fun looking for the artwork that best sings with your carpet. and that grabs you. After you have the choice of art up on the wall, look for small accessories of colour of shape, size and texture that work with the whole composition last. Do not forget something living such as plants, which take the sterility out of the room, especially neutral walls and natural floors....See MoreHow to design layout of open space for family with young kids
Comments (1)We aren't ignoring you - sometimes it is just timing! We are still stuck in inches over here too, so takes a bit of time to convert. If you need play space and living and dining, then I'm going to suggest you need a built in banquette on the wall opposite the fireplace . . though I would sneak it to within 1600 meters of the island edge and run it for at least 1900 meters or so. That will allow you to place the table 2' / 640 closer to the wall opposite the storage and fire and give you a larger living space remaining . slide the dining closer to the island . . a lot closer. This suggestion came after I first attempted to parallel the dining table to the island and saw what space you have left. Your size dining table is assumed to be the one that is drawn. Or what you hope to have . . when you banquette and slide dining towards the kitchen, that might encourage you to shift the fireplace a bit closer to the top of the drawing . . so it was centered down where enjoying it might also afford a view. I also am unclear about where the front door is - if the top elevation is the glass wall system that will open all the way, you should place the single door that opens by itself on the left. Between the dining table and the glass wall is the area for a play space . . . near the out of doors but away from the kitchen....See MoreOak floor will be extended...can I add a piece of different floor and
Comments (2)If I understand correctly you are adding extra floor by bay window feature ? Have you thought as out a window seat to hide the floor issue, can give you more storage and a really useful seating feature (great with kids)...See MoreNaas self build : Front elevation ideas please!
Comments (0)Hi , just in the process of finishing a self build in Kildare and looking at options for softening the appearance of the front of the house. Originally we had burnt wood cladding (per 3d model images attached) but took them out for budget reasons. regretting that a bit now and difficult to retrofit cladding without risking damage to plaster so looking at what options or ideas people might have to break up the front, even at this stage. Thanks in advance...See Moreannabellaamy
