Aesthetic grab rails

My daughter, who is in her early 30’s, has a connective tissue disorder which means she can easily dislocate joints. The condition also means she has chronic pain which could be eased a bit by a good soak in the bath. Does anyone know where she could source some reasonably aesthetic grab rails which would make getting in and out of the bath easier and safer for her? Thanks in advance.

Complete Care Shop are good. I’ve come across a site through work with some beautifully stylish grab rails and other aids but I can’t for the life of me remember the name. 🙈 There was an article on Houzz earlier in the year which might give some https://www.houzz.co.uk/products/contemporary/grab-rails

It's difficult to provide decent advice with limited information. Issues to consider: - access to the front door of new house, is it level or on a low slope? - is there level access from all external doors? i.e. no steps up or down. Do you need a ramp building with handrails? - is there a toilet downstairs? Do you need mobility aids like grab rails and emergency call systems? - doors need to be wide enough to get through. Assuming you use a wheelchair you may need wider doors. - is the new house on a single storey only? Bungalow? Obviously better if it is as there are no stairs to navigate. - steps and stairs generally - try to avoid properties with these or make sure they are limited or have a low rise and large tread area. - age of new house. The newer it is the more likely it is to more suited for accessibility. The older it is the harder it will be. New houses have access requirement regulations to comply with. - do you need an accessible kitchen? Larger space needed with low worktops for wheelchairs? Not sure if this is any help but maybe it is..?

I think it might work better to have blinds on the wall with the smaller windows (perhaps in a plain colour) and have curtains on the main stretch of windows, using the existing curtains to replace the small roman blinds. This would allow the fantastic view to be the main focus. I do think plain curtains would work well here but you perhaps aren't keen to change them as they are new? Could they be used elsewhere? I also agree re moving the sofas so they aren't at angles, it looks a bit strange. Maybe try them in a u shape around the fire. And perhaps painting the door frame white might make the room feel calmer. Where did you find your lovely footstool btw?

I think it looks great so far. Many of the ads for claw foot tubs, and magazines, show them with encaustic/cement tile and plain white surround. Also, you did something creative and attractive with the tile layout. I love the nickel shine of your clawfoot legs too. If you can maybe get a corner shelf on one side of the wall, you'll have a place for soap, candle or bubble bath. And maybe hotel towel holder on another wall to get the height up. As a random factor to generate ideas - a boat chandlery or search boat grab rail on ebay might help?

Thanks all - it seems the magic word to put into google was ‘contemporary‘ - I’ve now found several more stylish examples from bathroom suppliers and let my daughter know
