Floor plans- any ideas?

Hi all

We have recently begun renovations on an old cottage that had been extended a couple of times by previous owners. The house had two large chimney breasts that have been removed. One of these was between the kitchen/ living room, opening up this space and then the other chimney was between two bedrooms. As part of the chimney removal in the bedrooms we were thinking of moving the remaining dividing wall back making the front bedroom larger as gets better light and then the middle bedroom would be more tv snug/ office/ guest room. Any thoughts on this or the plans in general, just seeing if it is the best layout before we go too far.

I agree deepen the color, don't change it and yes art art art! maybe lessen the presence of the brick with the earlier suggestion of the metal cogs its and use traditional artwork pics/nature/paintings on the painted wall. I also like the idea to paint the part of the wall that juts out in a darker shade of the same color. Now you have lots to consider and lots to dismiss as well. Good luck and have fun

Have you thought about installing slatwall in your garage? Handiwall is a great way to get all of your garage necessities hung up and organized and since it takes the clutter off of the floor you will have plenty of space for a work bench. We are building an extension onto an old 1930's cottage.. only living in the extension for a few years.. because of not much sun light we were thinking would an upstairs downstairs work, which would bring more light / heat in through sky lights etc but there isn't much info or plans out there. . Any ideas?

I'm wondering if I share the ground floor plans would that make it easier to understand the house layout. As I'm thinking maybe the bathrooms have to be on one side of the house for plumbing reasons? Any advice would be hugely appreciated. Thank you
