Home office turned into a gym!

The room was used as an office before I purchased it.

Now its a fully fledged gym!

Plastered, spotlights installed, full mirrored wall, proper gym rubber flooring and some really good gym equipment. Not for everyone, but Im a gym person, so I love it!

Lol. The first photo is very kind to the room. It really wasnt a lovely room ... Artex ceiling, nasty old light fitting, lined textured wallpaper (hung in different directions), mismatched sockets and switches, yellowed woodwork, green hard wearing carpet ...

It seems to me that the room can be divided into three distinct areas. TV area where the TV is now, office area by placing a nice desk and a chair along the window at the other end. And another sitting area across from the fireplace by using two love seats or two comfortable chairs perpendicular to the fireplace with a coffee table in the middle. Provided that the dimensions allow for that.

Hello Houzz Ireland, We are currently renovating a 1960's build - so as you know, there is a lot of decisions to be made!! So it would be nice to get some gems of advice from the experts to help us through this daunting task. Areas where we would really like some inspiration for - small bathroom downstairs. I would really like to do something fun with this room and although small, I think it could work really well with some funky wallpaper or possibly tiles?! I'm just not sure what to do with it. Also - pulling a whole house together?! Where do we start? We have the bigger pieces of furniture but how do I know what nest of tables goes best with a suite? Or what accessories will bring a room together? I'm due a second baby in 2 weeks time so any help at this stage would be so amazing - to guide me on the right interior design path for our new house. I’m a gym person ( stop laughing ! I do use ours - occasionally !!) and I think it’s very gym like ! Need some kettle bells (to stub your toes on) littered about the place, to be perfect ! Nice work !

I am so jealous, it is very cool! I've always wanted such a hall, at least half as your room. We do not have such a territory, so I train only on the street.
The room was so cute, why did you decide to remake it? In any case, it turned out great!

It was part of a massive refurb. The office (as pictured when previous owner had it) moved to a different room in the house, which was a better size for it. This room was ideal for a gym. Owing to the various lockdowns this year it has been great to have at home.
