What window treatments for arch windows with no clearance at the top?

Hi. My flat has arch windows where the top of the arch is flush with the ceiling.

Hi! My flat has arch windows with no clearance between the top of the arch and the ceiling.

The window itself is not an arch, but 6 panels of windows within the arch "shape" (see below).

What kind of window treatment can I use to make the windows look nice?

I wanted to hang curtains butnam worried the curtain rail will cut through the space and look strange... Thanks! :)

Blinds that sit within the frame, below the top arch, would be an option - either Roman blinds or wooden slatted blinds. Or if budget allows then Shutters would look fab!

I do not see velvets and silks for a kitchen sink window sorry. There are plenty of gorgeous fabrics around with beautiful damask or geometric pattern that are striking, that could be found in a faux silk or linen. Velvet is something that I would never put in a kitchen. But it is your kitchen.

Just a quick note to thank you all for sharing your thought, ideas, experience and time. I especially want to thank Bluenan and decoenthusiaste for being with me through the all process for the last 6 months or so..., just wanted to post few photos of the results (https://www.houzz.com/discussions/any-ideas-for-final-touches-to-this-living-dinning-room-dsvw-vd~569586) as I feel it is not only me who created this space but it is your creations as much as mine. It may not be perfect or according to the the "Rules", but it is Me and my family. Each and every piece was chosen by me in different parts of the world and each one of them has a unique story behind. I am very pleased with my space. I love it! I am very blessed. .... and so I am off to my new project now... Back to school.... that's really going to be hard ;) Thank you all, once again.

I would also definitely go white if the windows are on the green wall. Will be much more natural to tie the accent wall with the stark wht contrasting walls. Always a very chic contemporary look. Also very relaxing as opposed to the treatments standing out when you already have your standout feature- the green accent wall. Great white bed you ordered! Then I love all the blue/green/ silver accent advice. I did a similar room in purples/greys/ whites and we used great posted prints of florals with a little oriental flair in nice big mats w frames. You could do florals or nice big botanicals in greens would be very fresh and modern!! White or silver frames or maybe even the shock of black would be cool.

Hi. I don't think a curtain/s in the middle will work as you'll have the radiator either side plus a potential issue with the poles? Why not try Romans (if they fit, as i can't see the inside of the window frame!) and a single curtain either side? Rather than use tiebacks so they're draped across the window just use a holdback similar to the pic so they're held back instead. This one obviously has a pelmet but you could add poles which just overhang the top of the window slightly

if you have a curtain with a tape you can get it to sit quite high, or alternatively fix a ceiling mounted track.

Ikea sell ceiling mounted tracks if you wanted curtains rather than shutters/blinds.
