Moving to new house advice
Comments (1)I guess it depends if you need to live in it straight away or if you have a bit of time beforehand. I think I would personally need to have bedrooms painted and carpeted and a bathroom useable. If your kitchen units are been ripped out could you do this before moving in? If it's as bad as you say I would be inclined to rip all carpets out and get it fresh-not ideal painting around new carpets but you could do that gradually-i could put up with dirty paint but not dirty carpet...just my thoughts. If it's just cosmetic I can't imagine it being too much of a disturbance....See MoreMoving home for two disabled women
Comments (35)not alot happening at the moment, its winter! alotta rain, lotta. but i am bedding down to get this over with and maybe in the spring the spirits will rise once more. i hope so. i would love to feel i was doing something to keep my hopes and dreams alive, i dont see what i can do until the spring. when i bring the topic up, especially to those that moved away and came down this neck of the woods, they say they had friends who felt it was too far too and moved back home. i guess thats how i feel, thats what i want and i just want to be a bit more uplifted, i think rain dampens down things a bit!!! santa Ma Margaret!...See Moremaking a 'move' decision and going for it
Comments (11)hi everyone, dropping by to say us twins are off to the 'self build' at city west this weekend, decided on sunday so i can rest tomorrow. twin very undecided about all of this, she needs some reassurance, hard to find that in todays pace. not entirely sure who i could ask! anyway we are off to a top specialist hospital soon, very soon so we are getting our medical files all sorted right now. we have an extremely rare disease so we have to go out to get the help we need nada in ireland, i know i have a test lined up for the very first day on arrival, if they take any more lumps out of my muscle without anasthesia i will go nuts, yes my friends not for the faint hearted and i mean it, they cannot deaden the muscle, guess they have to see it wriggle!!!!...See MoreWhat's the most Irish thing about your home?
Comments (17)The 'inglenook' fireplace - reminds me of my grandparents home where we would all congregate for high tea once a month. However, I have come across them in Scotland and in Cornwall, so perhaps they are more a 'Celtic' thing!...See MoreHU-168345303
