shower niche help

Trying to plan where to fit my shower niche. I will be having a shower over bath so don’t know wether to do it slightly lower. The wall it will be placed on is 1700mm and will have a 1700 bath fitted. Planned on having 600 x 300 niche but nothing set in stone. What are your thoughts as I need help. Is it imperative I know my tile size yet to plan it’s position?

I prefer them lined up. I suppose to some extent though it depends on the colour, tile size and what's going in the niche as to whether it would work not lined up, this one for example isn't but it doesn't stand out. Re height, I would have it an easy height for reaching shampoo etc when standing

When they are higher these niche don’t fill with shower water. So I would either have a niche that is chest height near the shower or a low one elsewhere

Would you be prepared to give up the shower for a tub and shower? For the next five years it might be useful.You could remove the sink and shower and place the bath along that wall (with the shower fixture where it is)Hard to see space but could you fit a small sink in front of the window or next to where the shower was (again hard to tell your dimensions).....?

Also if you have the money you might be able to get a contractor to come out and add a drain in the corner. Then they could redirect the water in the drain. Also if you could put a rectangular/square glass enclosure around the whole area it would look amazing!

It small But your cabin sink unit is a good idea as you have storage space and it looks neat. I have changed my bath many times to shower unit and it has leaked every time, some times it has been the plumbers fault or bad design then it was a visitor who let the water spill while showering the last time it flooded the insurers wanted the bathroom TANKED! meaning waterproof walls and floors. This is done by an experienced plumber contractor of repute! as the insurers said too many claims from too many people with bad waterproofing. the insurer said they would not insure again or any other clients who had not got their bathroom water proofed by expert plumber fitters. SO I have gone back to the Bath with a shower enclosed and found it tops for waterproof.

Hi, can anyone recommend a designer for a bathroom. Any of the designers I've googled seem to have no pictures of bathrooms they've designed and I would like to see previous work as I don't want to end up with a study in sand and beige, which seems to be the fashion these days. We are lucky enough to have a pretty big bathroom so I want it to be bright and airy. Attached is a rough sketch of what I am thinking for the layout. It would be a wetroom, so a shower in the bottom left hand corner. It has to be here as the room is in a dormer and slopes downward towards the back wall where the toilet is. So there would be a screen between the shower and the free standing bath. Then the toilet and the sink. I like the style in the photos attached.
