Front door revamp

Hi hoping to eventually get our door replaced but doing a lot of all work in the house first so looking for some suggestions on how we could make our old fashioned door a bit more modern? Has anyone painted a metal door frame before? Or any other suggestions? Thanks!

I feel having a door in the middle of the opening could improve the look.

Meanwhile, I’m sure you can paint the frame and doors. I’m no expert but others here may well help you in the right direction!

Hi Triona, a new chrome light fitting would make a huge difference too. You could go from a 5 arm fitting to a 3 arm fitting. I did this in my room and it updates the room immediately. The corner cabinet looks very dark also. Have you considered taking the top half off and just using the lower half for the tv. I painted my walls with Dulux Linen shade and I'm delighted with the result. Good luck with it all.
