Help it wasn’t stain!!

I am decorating an old barn conversion during this lock down. I ordered some Dulux wood sheen in french oak and have started painting the beams this morning. VERY big mistake. Rather than stain it is brown ain’t and my beautiful beam now looks like a pub beam. Absolutely heartbroken!! Any advise on how to get this devils product off or how to even paint over it to save my gorgeous rion. Am even considering white as hate this stuff so much. PLEASE PLEASE HELP. thanks Sharon xx
