Cast Iron Fireplace - advice on rusting and black finish

Could anyone give advice on what to do here, pls - old fireplaces bought and fitted last year - showing signs of rusting - how best to proceed pls and best black product to use to finish? Many thnx

    There might be a moisture problem in the house?

    Cast iron can rust. I remember seeing on tv a black grate polish suitable for cast iron fires and grates. Possibly this product?
