Help with colour for Irish back garden
Comments (4)I really think it's the plants that are supposed to be the center of attraction so I have a hard time thinking of anything better than painting the wall gray and the planters charcoal. However, trying to keep an open mind I did locate the photo above with yellow planters, which would be pretty against a gray wall. But looking at your very lovely blue door, I could see repeating that very same color on the planters and leaving the wall gray. It's always a good thing to repeat an existing color when it looks as great as that one does. That blue would be dynamite on a planter filled with green plants and colorful blooms....See MoreGarden help
Comments (25)Hi lots of different options and ideas going on. I had a similar wall and understand how mean it can be to little ones. I bought and put up the expanding wood trellis. This instantly covered the area at a very reasonable price. I then planted quick growing climbing plants. I'm not a great gardener so I cant remember what i had but ask at the garden centre they will advise you. But at least you have a barrier in place to minimize accidents....See MoreSensory Garden
Comments (3)Hi Maribel - have a look at Horatio's Garden. It is an amazing project which has provided gardens for patients recovering from spinal injuries. There are plans to provide the same for all spinal units around the country. The designers were award winning and it has been featured on Gardeners World. I know about it as a friend of mine who spent a year in the unit now fundraises for the charity. I know your little son's needs are different to those of spinal injured patients, but there has been so much thought put into this garden that it may trigger some ideas for you. Best of luck to you all. http://www.horatiosgarden.org.uk/...See MoreWhat is your favourite room in your home and why?
