Paint for stain?

The first picture is our current doors and baseboard colour. The second picture is the new casings that are painted white. My question is should the door casing be painted white to be consistent with the window casing or should it be stained to match the door? Getting a stain exactly like that is near impossible. Originally they were all clear pine with a clear coat put on and with time (20 years) they have turned orange. If I should stain then does anyone know of a stain for pine that would come even close?

Trim can be used to create panels, groupings of art can create sections or large objects such as a mirror can define the segments. Directed lighting illuminating these section will also de-emphasize the length of walls. Ceiling: Minimize the visual impact of a long hall by bringing attention to the ceiling. One approach is to align the panel wall sections with ceiling panels or coffers. Or hang interesting pendant lights or a bold chandelier to redirect visual interest away from the walls.

Normally I'd say leave it, but you have a lot of brown! Lots of options. Go ahead and paint it, a soft cream. Use a soft cream to "white wash". The brick, to even out the tone. If the budget allows, get someone in, or DIY, to drywall over the brick. Leave the brick alone, add floating shelves. Or put up several bookcases, like IKEA Billy bookcases, with closed backs to help hide the brick.
