to open plan or not to open plan?

Hello,
my lounge and dining room are separated by double doors(see pictures/floorplan). We definitely want to change the doors but debating whether to go for critical doors with glass panels (see picture) or go open plan and put a fire as a divider (see picture). We've received a few quotes, but wondering if the open plan with fire would make our house lose value?
Any thoughts and which would add value and make the the room feel cosy. We still want the dining room with a dining table
