Patio
Comments (7)Great- a photo. How about deciding if you want seating, dining, play space, or a combination, and then work out where each function makes the most sense. You could to a lot with plants, including large trees, in pots to soften the area and to screen one area from another, or could pull up some of the pavers to make planting spaces directly into the ground. Sketch out what you might want to use the space for and where you need it, and it will come together pretty quickly. Comments (0)Hi. I can’t decide what kind of steps to build for our new raised patio. The builder is suggesting building steps ONTO the patio but we’ve been pushing to build them INTO the patio. I think it only requires 2 steps so it’s not that high. The suggestion is to pave the top, leaving paving stones overhanging at the edge slightly, with a plaster render and paint on the sides. The steps are so much neater built in, but, the builder thinks it’s a fall hazard and it would take away from the room we have out there. All suggestions most welcome!...See MoreLau
