Comments (9)Happy to help ! I'm only a short swim away in England !! I think if you want a truly opulent cream for the kitchen cabinets - I'd suggest you get a colour match for the range ! It looks a very creamy cream ! Think it could be stunning ! Then have slightly lighter walls and tiles to keep the room feeling light and airy ! If you have walnut stain for your worktop on your island , I'd suggest using that on your exposed legs if you go for the dipped paint look on the table and chairs ! Are you having the classic CC shaped island ?!?...See Morewindow colour advice, bay windows, wet pebble dash
Comments (11)This might sound a bit like being on the fence given the advice you've had already... How about a mid to dark grey ( less contrast than black), RAL 7022 is a favourite of mine (warmer grey), or look at a green grey, as something that will have the colour of the olive, with a good amount of contrast against the white render, (you won't have the warm rich colours of the brickwork as in the photos above (which the olive looks good against)). If you are painting the timber windows you would do well to look at microporous opaque stains to reduce your on-going maintenance. A benefit of aluclad composite windows is colour outside can be factory supplied different to the interior finish. Hope this might help. Regards, Nick...See MoreWindow colour decision help
Comments (0)Plan to have the current wood grain uPVC windows resprayed in a RAL colour to compliment the door and brickwork. Plan also to change the paint on the render, sills, etc later in the year so not worried about window colour tying into it. Door and frame are in an anthracite grey - closest would be ral 7016. Current thinking is go with a light grey colour such as ral 7035 or ral 7047. Or go with a more standard white/off white such as ral 9010. Comments (0)My new kitchen units are due to be installed in 4 weeks and I am really struggling to decide on flooring. One wall of units will be an off white / porcelain colour and the island & a block of 3 tall units on another wall will be marine blue. Calcatta gold quartz counters and brass hardware. It's a renovation project so new has to live alongside existing kitchen dining area (oak floors- to be refinished) and black/ white victorian entrance hallway tiles. Would love opinions on two tiles we are considering or alternate suggestion please. Room is south west facing, not especially light until evening....See MoreFiona Rea
