Need advice for front door
Comments (15)Just wanted to add something regarding the steps since I had also asked for advice on them: we had steps installed in slate, but unfortunately they did not turn out to look very nice, so will need to get redone . Was wondering if we should also incorporate some of the bricks seen on the porch, perhaps as risers covered by blue limestone or slate just to tie everything together?...See MoreNew front door paint color, Midcentury home

Comments (0)Need to change the front door on our house, 1939 semi d. Any thoughts / suggestions on colour or type of doors? I've mocked up a solid wood effect composite, seemingly all new door companies recommend using handles (better lock mechanisms). The finger pull door lock mechanisms can get stuck. I'm not mad on the handle but. I've attached pictures of the house, close up of the door (ignore the decorations!) and the mock up of the door / colour. (We're planning on painting the second door to the left the same colour as the walls / match the new door colour)...See Morehelp itch colour of front door
Comments (6)Thanks I had been thinking of Black but was afraid it might look to austere as we have so much grey stone and the house is part of a 3 acre walled ( high grey stone ) garden but just had another look at black doors and some look very smart...See MoreJennie Jennie
