Hi James, you've asked three separate questions about what I think is the same room. No problem with number of threads but rather than thinking / asking "what should I do with THIS wall", it's much better to look at the room as a whole.
Clear everything out of the room that really shouldn't be there like clothes airers and football kit (dogs and cats can stay...), then take a photo of each wall from as far back as possible. Including the floor in the photo is more useful than the ceiling. Add close ups of anything important like a fire. Quick sketch of the room is useful if it isn't obvious how the wall photos join up. Mark radiators and window on the sketch.
Mention things that HAVE to stay, and others that can go or be replaced.
Hi James, I agree with cushioncover here. Think about starting a new post because people are commenting about your shelves/tv/fireplace on your other thread in isolation. Pics of all the room will help perhaps you bring the room together. And dont be overwhelmed. Sometime people come on looking for cushion advice and before you know it we're all chipping on advising on a new fireplace and sofa!! It's not people being picky or rude about your decor, just trying to help and got lots of ideas!! Be very specific about what you've no intention/desire to change and you'll get some good advice. Good luck
I agree with cushioncover and Jules. When I asked for Advice recently I told Houzzers what I wasn’t going to change, such as sofas and rug, and asked what paint colour would work on the walls. I shared several photos too. I got lots of advice. The more you share, the more advice you will get. Good luck.
