Master bedroom colours
We are having some shaker style fitted wardrobes built in our bedroom and I'm debating the colour to paint them and subsequently the colour to have on the walls. It's a big south facing room with a very large window so gets loads of light but I'd also like it to feel cosy and inviting. The colour I'd like on the walls is similar to the examples below and I've chosen F&B oval room blue. My question is, should we paint the wardrobes in 1. the same colour 2. a slightly darker but similar colour (I love F&B De Nimes for example) or 3. something completely different (a grey perhaps?). I can't decide which would look best. Any advice welcome. Thanks!

Comments (6)You could create a built in look with shelves on the smaller side and a shelf or two on the larger side to balance it out. I would do a chest ( or built in) that fits the space on the smaller side. Then maybe a longer console table on the other. You could go with wall mounted lighting if you do the shelves. 4 years agoHi. I think your idea of Oval Room Walls & De Nimes wardrobes is lovely. De Nimes is 10 points darker & 2 points more greyed, than Oval Room Blue. I have added a couple more colours, similar to Oval Room Blue, but lighter and darker versions.
Knoxville is 8 points darker again than De Nimes.
