Here we have one off our latest design for bedroom wardrobe with Louvre doors sprayed painted in Pleat Little Greene Company, carcass in oak with internal drawers, hanging rails and LED lighting. Don't be afraid to use a bold shade in a small bedroom; no matter the size, rich tones add drama and luxury to your home. Wood cabinets can always be re-painted if you want to refresh your scheme in the future.

They look fab. Just designing my own wardrobes at the moment. The only thing I'd have added to yours is some cornice along the front and side to join up with the existing one

Hi Emmie, My only tip would be to attach your custom-build structure to the wall, one way or the other, to avoid... tip-ping :) If I can picture what you intend to do correctly, you will need to anchor it to the wall. It doesn't involve structural changes necessarily, just a few screws into the wall studs. Other than that, make sure you use the right materials / thickness to support what you intend to display (ie, the shelf for the TV should be thicker than a shelf used for just 1 or 2 picture frames). No chest of drawers in bedroom - where to put personal grooming stuff?

We replaced our large chest of drawers with built in wardrobes which are very successful re storage and we no longer need nor have the space for our chest of drawers. So now we have the wardrobes, bed opposite and small two bedside tables. I am really missing the top of the chest of drawers as a surface for creams, hairbrushes, make up jewellery and random miscellany. We would have room on either side of the bed but also need bedside level surface there. Question - what does everyone else do who does not have this surface in the bedroom? Bathroom shelves are hardly big enough. Ideally I would have a skinny chest of drawers AND a bedside table on either side of bed but wouldn't that look really clunky?

Thank you for this and for attaching the photo to demonstrate! Lovely idea and would be ideal in the room. I’m not sure what you mean by extending the curtains? I was wondering about adding a recessed curtain rail and having it in an L shape to fit the other window too. Or maybe curtains on the large window and a Roman blind on the smaller one? I can’t help thinking it looks somewhat old fashioned.

Perhaps it’s the adjoining areas (as far as visible) that haven’t been finished.
