Choosing bedroom furniture

hello!

we love the cork pax wardrobe in Ikea but I have no idea what sort of furniture would match! We have a pallet headboard at the moment for our bed but we need bedside tables and probably a chest of drawers. We like Scandinavian and bohemian/earthy furniture but like a bit of colour on the walls.

Im not sure it all has to be matchy matchy, esp. for a rustic boho look. Consider corque for rustic bedsides. Upcycle dressing rable from online sales groups. Have fun. Fi

I would also definitely go white if the windows are on the green wall. Will be much more natural to tie the accent wall with the stark wht contrasting walls. Always a very chic contemporary look. Also very relaxing as opposed to the treatments standing out when you already have your standout feature- the green accent wall. Great white bed you ordered! Then I love all the blue/green/ silver accent advice. I did a similar room in purples/greys/ whites and we used great posted prints of florals with a little oriental flair in nice big mats w frames. You could do florals or nice big botanicals in greens would be very fresh and modern!! White or silver frames or maybe even the shock of black would be cool.

Have you thought about choosing furniture first? If not try that. The reason for that is your bed and other furniture such as dressers and wardrobes will take centre stage, so that should take priority. Perhaps there's a particular style or piece of art that inspires you and with that can get you started. Perhaps choose colour last as it can be something to complement all your furniture, carpet, window dressing etc. Don't forget to think about lighting, so important in a bedroom, soft bedside lamps for reading and relaxing and maybe a brighter central light for dressing, etc. Windows are important too. Too often they're neglected, if you're a light sleeper think about blackout backed curtains or blinds. And it's here and with rugs/ carpets, pillows and throws where you can really have a bit of fun. Perhaps an interesting colour and stylish pattern to spruce things up such as chevron or other geometric patterns. Look forward to seeing the room. Good luck!
