no shoe space in hallway
moved to new home but really sad to realise that it doesn't have a proper place to takre off shoes. When guests around, the hallway looks horrible with so many shoes. one side is the kitchen door and other is the washroom and when people use the washroom, the door pushes all the shoes backwards and it looks even bad. Any ideas for a decent and presentable shoe storage which is practicle for guests aswell.

Comments (0)We are in desperate need or a show shelf at the entrance in our new home and there are two possible areas downstairs - Hallway or a small entrance lobby at the entrance . The hallway is narrow with a radiator on one side and the lobby does not have space for more than 80 cm wide and 30 cm deep shelf . see photos attached ... Comments (0)Is it OK to place a sliding door at the bottom of a stairs to minimise the draft from a hallway? The stairs forks off at a 90 degree angle halfway down a long hallway, you don't see it when looking down the hallway, the first step is flush with the hallway's right wall, the sliding door therefore would be placed on the side wall of the hallway, sliding either left or right and not impinging on the hallway. 4 years agoA hallway runner would help a lot (able to clean, no pristine cream carpet. And is there some space right around the corner in your kitchen to add a tall cabinet just for shoes?

4 years agoI can't see what the space looks like but I had the issue of a shoe cluttered entryway and ended up getting a carpenter in to build shoe storage an coat closet under our stairs. I guess what I'm asking is do you have any deadspace under you stairs?
