Hi there, I’m stumped as to what colour to paint my walls. It’s a south facing room & I’m loath to buy new sofa or curtains. The room is south facing with a large bay window. Carpet is a neutral colour. Any advice or ideas would be great.
Can you share a picture of the room? In the meantime, I think red goes beautifully with navy. I would keep the room light and airy, so an off white on the walls. You can then add cushions in red, some patterned, some plain or some with both the blue and the red in them. Something like this, but I couldn’t find any images with red curtains.
The carpet colour is really important, neutral is anything but. It may be taupe or brownish, or grey? Red and blue are strong and saturated, a wall colour that is stoney may calm it down a bit. White walls would look too harsh.
Hi there - It's important to think about how you want the room to feel? You could paint the walls a dark colour but if you're not looking for a closed cosy space then dark walls may not be the one for you. Another thing to thing about is when will you be using this room? If its during the day you may want lighter colour to keep you energised and awake. So you see its all about how you want to feel!
Any pictures of the room would be helpful too.
Let me know your thoughts?
Thanks
