Help planning a kitchen-living room colours!
Hello there! In this new apartment kitchen is already provided and it is part of a pretty big living space.
I'm about to move and the new apartment already has a kitchen provided, and it is a kitchen+living.
Now the kitchen is greige with black worktop and the floors dark grey (looks lighter in the very bad picture, but this is all I have for now), and I feel I am completely stuck with the colour palette to choose for things like sofa, TV unit etc.
For the dining area I think I'll go with rattan, wood and black hardware...but what about the 'living' part? White walls and dark grey floors: how to warm it a bit?

Would suggest you get built in book shelvers on both sides of fireplace, lift tv into a slot it fits perfectly into (make sure you have power on both sides). Then it will disappear more rather than fight with fireplace as focal point. I am always disappointed with mirrors over fireplaces, they become dark, are to high to reflect much. Plus then you have three rectangles fighting for center stage. I'd say very colorful artwork instead. Wonder if you can reorient tv where the big chairs are so both tv and fireplace are addressed? Comments (2)The protruding wall around the fireplace needs to be wallpapered or painted with dense motifs or tiled with stone/brick textured tiles or ply. Re-doing your fireplace will drastically change the look of your living room. See photos below. Consider painting the frames of your doors and sliding doors in the living room and kitchen a dark brown to match the floating shelf over the fireplace. Do not decide what you want to do in poor lighting as you have provided in the photos. Wine is a good color to consider. Also think of darker colors like plum and have different shades on each wall (from the same color family). So maybe think of wine- plum- magenta or wine - oxblood-blood red, etc. whichever suits your taste....See More
