What would you do with this kitchen? Help!
Comments (16)You need some kitchen accessories kettle etc that tie in with the red and also some artwork. The red you have chosen looks on my monitor to be a cool red, perhaps a bit of a warmer shade would help. i would also extend the dining area curtains down to the floor, they will cosy up the space, as would a statement rug to give a bit more life to the room. If your living room is green then it may be nice to have some token green of the same shade, somewhere in the kitchen, a plant or some artwork, and add a bit of the kitchen red to your living room, so that there is some continuity of colour in your home, as opposed to having two separate colour boxes and never the twain shall meet.....See MoreWhat to do with a small back of the house room?
Comments (5)This is the room... Believe me this is an old house and the refurb is on the way so as they say" look past what's there now" it's connected to a corridor and in front of it is the front if the house with porch and large windows. I would love to make this a front to back look but it is below a road at the back and just looks into a yard! The views are magnificent at the front as we over look the sea ! I'm so stool on ideas. To the right is the bathroom to the left we are building a utility room... My initial thoughts were that I would like it to be an extension of the hall.. Comments (22)I'm pretty sure they will have been put in to provide a non-combustable zone behind and around the stove. We are about to install a wood burning stove and the installation instructions specify an area that needs to be heat resistant. Removing or even painting them behind the stove would be difficult and potentially dangerous. I would either paint the rest of the chimney breast a dark green to reduce the impact of the tiles, or add a fire surround (checking with the manufacturer or a reputable installer about clearance) and some painted tongue and groove cladding over the chimney breast depending on your preferred style....See MoreDo you reckon these leather armchairs would be comfy?
Comments (9)I highly recommend (for anything you are considering purchasing) you look at the on line review and comments. Do a search putting in the name of the chairs and then "reviews" and see what people who have purchased them say about them. Might save you from a bad purchase if the reviews are mainly negative....See MoreSam Potter
