Comments (4)Thanks! Yeah I tried to rotate the bed so the headboard would be opposite the radiator but it meant the wardrobe doors wouldn't open. I may need to change the bed frame to include storage space alright but it would need to add height not width which is tricky to find ready made. Comments (3)If the hall is that narrow and dark, walnut is not going to help as you've said. I assume you favour darker woods so wouldn't be keen on a light oak? If you really want the doors, add decent lighting. Go for an off white paint with a cream undertone with reflective particles. Add mirrors or anything reflective to bounce the light around. Painting the skirts and architraves white would help but I assume you want these left natural? That looks like a lovely layout I really like the open plan but our driveway around the house will come from the left side so that's why we had thought of addiing the extension to the right. I'm sure we could use your idea on the right side and it would still throw in plenty of light. Regarding the rooms: the long room to the right is the current kitchen which is currently very dark and cold, the small room behind this is the utility, the two rooms to the left of this are a front living room and back lounge.
