Bathroom layout - half wall?
Other half has suggest a tiled half wall next the toilet, to visually separate bathing from toiletty activity. Not that we are communal bathroom people, but he's quite keen. I think he just wants to build a wall. The positions of the sanitaryware are fixed. He's drawn his wall on the floor in chalk. I've made a sketch. Is there room for it? He's suggested plants and a bench under the window, and pointed out it will give him somewhere to fix the toilet toll holder. I think maybe it's creating a crevice that's harder to clean. Any ideas?

4 years agoNah not keen. As for loo roll holder, I have one of those stand thingies which holds the roll and a few spare, as wall hung one just gets in the way in my tiny bathroom. However it may be your idea of hell!

Comments (5)Hello Orlac2, yes you could turn the bath round and have a smaller one.. Like a tubby.. You could also take out the bath and install a shower, have a wet room style with full tiling and back to wall sink and loo.. Could be a rather luxurious shower room.. but if the bath is required then why not look at getting a Tubby Torre by Albion. They have a whole range but this is a favourite.. It can be painted any colour you like.. I like the copper colour.. You get a really fantastic soak and it's a beautiful little tub! As well as a shower. : ))...See Morenew bathroom layout

4 years agoI know this is quite a lot of plants (!) but I think your eyes will either be drawn to the back wall or towards the light from the window where you'll see your lovely plants and bench :) I know everyone differs but the loo is the last thing I see in this photo

4 years agolast modified: 4 years agoHi Sam, I agree with the no wall opinion. a plant a good idea. maybe your partner would like to build a plant stand "room divider". it's almost the same as building a wall :). the plant stand can be used to put a loo roll, a candle, incense a decoration etc. it's not permanent and can be moved or dismantle with a minimum impact.
