Wall Colour advice

Looking for some suggestions on what wall paint colour/s would compliment the bedding shown below and window dressing suggestions. Its for our spare room, which has a neutral off white carpet (staying) and light oak framed bed (staying). Photos of the room to give you an idea of the space but please excuse the mess, we're are mid clear out! The walls are currently painted in FB Mizzle.

Hi, lovely bedding. I would copy the picture as it looks so good. White or off white walls would look fab.

That is true alright, though even with a patterned carpet they usually keep a mat for people to wipe their feet on by the door, or if people like to remove boots or shoes when entering ( not that common here) but great idea. The trouble with the patterned carpet was if anything fell on the floor you could hardly find it !!

Hi Becky I'm not sure what style you are looking for but try www.solidor.co.uk These are the best low maintenance front doors you can get with lots of options on colours, inside and out. We are one of their installers in Colchester and have four on display, if we are near enough pop in, if not just find a local installer. if you are after timber we supply Bereco, again go to their website, not cheap but beautiful. We also can supply Grey windows, not in 50 shades, but in 3, so you can have from light to dark. Anything else just ask. Regards Joe

please can you help me with choosing a paint colour for our walls to help tone down the colourful wooden floor. i really dislike it but cant change it at the moment. i was thinking about painting the walls oyster bed in colourtrend and the door surrounds in artic blonde. all suggestions welcome. please help.

I agree with Sonia and think that sticking with the pic of the duvet would work well, and really let the duvet shine.. I worry that too much else would be too busy and be a bit much :-)

I do like the idea of white/off white but given the room is quite large I'm just concerned that it might be too much or just feel bland?

I think you'd do better adding the colour through artwork/prints and accessories... you've got the wood from bed from the bed & door which would also add warmth to the space.

Does the Mizzle not work with it? Or is the paintwork just in need of a freshen up regardless?

I do think adding some different blinds/curtains would be good tho to help soften it slightly :-)

Keep the entire room Mizzle, but a floor to ceiling section of mustard (or petrol) behind the bed's head. And white+mustard roller blinds :)

The mizzle looked/ looked ok but we’ve recently painted the hallway and landing in Pigeon and it now looks a bit insipid in contrast, plus I feel there’s too much green going on.

Rinq, seems like my post was cropped as I went on to say I thought your suggestion of adding mustard behind the headboard was a good idea and I’ll look at what shade would work well. Sorry, I’m using the Houzz app and it seems temperamental!

The App is terrible Keswig. A lot of us have deleted it and now go via the website instead. Much more user friendly! And it lets you Edit and Delete posts.

Hi, pick a color from your duvet - blue, yellow or grey and paint the wall behind the bed or the whole room, depending on the size, amount of natural light in the room and your preference. BTW the artwork behind the wall complements the color of beddings so well.

Have never tried the app. And my samsung phone won't let me type more than one letter when I use the internet browser. So I use our pc. Which is mostly on throughout the day (me, husband, kid).
