Bedroom colour scheme advice
Comments (9)Hi Louise, In a room like this I always like to keep the walls and ceilings ( including the small door and frame 1 colour...in this case a lavender. I'd start by finding colour chips that have the same colour as the carpet, and then go a few shades lighter but in the same tome. All baseboards and door to hall should be the same colour as the iron beds...off white. With the walls a colour you'll be able to see the pretty pattern of the frame. OR find a small scaled pattern of any of the shades of purple and the cream same as the bed frame) with the same fabric. Make custom bedding to match. In a small room 1 pattern works well everywhere. If you go the paint route, try to find fabric with soft gold, lavender, purple for a skirted table between the beds if there's room. You can put it on a cardboard table and base...found in some fabric or craft stores. Top it with a thin piece of glass ( Pier 1) and away you go.Don't be afraid of colour or small pattern in a small space, as you are going for the impact. Have fun! Shaila...See MoreColour advice
Comments (0)Has anyone used farrow & ball slipper satin with skimming stone & charleston grey? We are using skimming stone on perimeter units which is in L-shape and charleston grey on island with 'lagoon' silestone worktop in our new kitchen. House is a new build and very well lit, we have windows/sliding door on three sides of room. Apologies no photos as not installed yet. We have all lower units apart from two tall press areas to integrate fridge, cooker etc into and one wall hung press as didn't want to crowd wall. Also looking at wimborne white in F&B and Subtle in Colourtrend brand. Ideally would like a good neutral that would work throughout a large part of house if possible. Not too grey or cream. Thank you for taking time to read this....See MoreWhat colour should I pick for my window frames?

Comments (0)Hi I have a dilemma... For a new build. I love sleek and modern and going for a high gloss kitchen with creams and nudes... From front door through to kitchen I want tiles I am thinking oak wooden floors so my question... What color interior doors do I choose? I love the look of the 2 panel white shaker door but are they a nightmare with kids and traffic and keeping clean? Also what color window frames would you suggest for this? Thanks a million...See MoreMaths Wife
