Hi,

I love this bedroom set too! This was our client's existing furniture, which we then implemented into their new home and incorporated into the design.

Given the wooden window frames, consider roman shades or woven wood roll up shades. I would not add too much white since three of your walls, your baseboard and your crowne molding are already white, not to mention your bedframe (great bed by the way). Having said that, white night stands would be good, but suggest something other than white lamps, although white lamp shades would work. You mentioned Ikea. They have some great fabrics, bedcovers and lamps/lampshades. Ikea also has various window treatments, including roman type shades. They also sell a sliding panel system that is awesome if you see a color that works. It comes in various colors and would really add some life to the room. The panels slide on a rail system, allowing you to close and open them as desired. Agree it would be nice to pull the colors together with fabric that has both the green and the blue, either with the bedcover, pillows or window coverings. Also like the suggestion to try several small items over the bed (doesn't have to be pictures). The example picture shows three pictures of the same size. Two smaller items with one large in the middle also works well and might be a better fit with your square shaped bedframe. FYI, the lamps in the photo with the three pictures over the bed are really a bit small for that room. Notice in the picture of your bed, the lamps are much taller. Either tall lamps or lamps with a fairly large scale would be a good match to your bedframe. I would hold off on the ceiling light fixture until you have the bed in the room and have chosen your lamps, window treatments and other furniture. With all of these elements in the room, you will have an easier time chosing a ceiling fixture that matches the scale of the room and matches the style of your other furnishings. Hi. I'm not that keen on the paper with the rest of the room, it doesn't look bad at all but it doesn't look stunning either imo. Everything else looks to be more of a greige? I'd look at the same paper in truffle, sable, dark linen or even the pewter may work ( hard to tell colours on screen so would get samples of all!). I agree with the others, would go for plain bed linen and add pattern in cushions and/ or throw. It looks as if a chalk pink would work best with the greige. Maybe a chalky white for the remaining furniture. You could also break up the window ŵall by adding a trim and maybe Pom poms to the bottom of the blind. A little antique gold for accessories, lights etc would also work well.

north facing bedroom

Hiya We recently moved into our new apt. both bedrooms are north facing so I'm looking for ideas for colours. we have a black leather framed bed & I've picked out 2 bed side lockers which are wood with black drawers and 2 bedside lamps with a copper stand, our wardrobe is not the standard built in type...the wardrobe door is basically a normal room door if you know what I mean. Its pretty spacious and I'm conscious while filling space I don't want to clutter it. Our living area is painted Oxford white and my other half wants to use this in the bedroom...but I think it would he weird to paint the bedrooms the same colour as the living area. Would love to hear ideas as lacking inspiration right now!

After moving in, I bought a carpet 2 years ago. It was pricey and very comfortable. Can't really justify pulling it up (yet!!). It may have been a rash decision however as it was a practical solution to a very cold room. Now we are finally getting round to decorating the room, pulled out the fitted wardrobes and found no floor under the dodge carpet it was standing on. We had originally covered an ugly hardwood floor in the rest of the room and what we have now is the original floor boards underneath along one length of the. Room. Thought about leaving all old original floorboards exposed but the breeze is literally coming up through them. Carpet has been discontinued and can't get more of same piece. Drop between carpet and old wood in about a 2 inches. Any ideas how to make this a feature would be great. Can't turn bed other way due to electrics. Colour is hard to match. Please help
