I've had a copper bird bath on a metal tripod for about 15 years. I absolutely love it (but TBH because of the shape of the bowl it's a bit rubbish as a bird bath, but I still love it)!
Anyhoo, I've never done anything to it and so it's weathered down and the copper is now a bluey/greeny/grey matt and doesn't look very special anymore. So I'm getting the brasso to it this weekend.
If everything goes according to plan, it should be a little more copper looking at the end. If I wanted to keep it looking copper'ish, could I varnish it? If so what with?
